NSMEA Announces Lifetime Achievement and Musica Viva Awards for 2010

The NSMEA executive met and is pleased to announce that Charlotte Myers has been chosen as the recipient of this year's NSMEA Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes an individual's dedication and contribution to music education in Nova Scotia over his/her career. The award will be presented at the NSMEA October Conference which will take place at Bicentennial School, Dartmouth on October 21-22, 2010.

 

The NSMEA executive met and is pleased to announce that Music Plus has been named the 2010-11 recipient of the Nova Scotia Music Educators Association "Musica Viva Award". This award is presented to an individual or organization who has demonstrated support and who facilitates and promotes music education in Nova Scotia. Music Plus has been a long-time supporter of music education in Nova Scotia through sponsorship and attendance at our annual provincial conference. We are very grateful for everything Music Plus has done over the years to help us promote quality music education programs in our schools.
